Celebrate Oktoberfest and enjoy a taste of Germany with a very special tasting of German beer, including limited seasonal specialties, German sausage, potato salad, and pretzels.

Socialize and network with like-minded beer aficionados and connoisseurs while listening to traditional German music with optional dancing to a live German band. Learn about the long history of Germans in the United States, their significant contributions (which go well beyond beer and bratwurst!) and the strong connection that exists between the two countries.

Also enjoy the option to arrive at the beginning of the event and learn how to dance the waltz and polka so that you can enjoy dancing to the live German band performing waltzes and polka during the event.

As you explore the exhibits of the German American Heritage Museum, enjoy a selection of traditional German food (menu selections may change):

• Potato pancakes
• Chicken Schnitzel
• Potato salad
• Bratwurst/Variety (with appropriate accompaniments)
• Salad
• Bread
• Pretzels

As you enjoy your evening, enjoy a selection of German beer.

German Music Duo: Liab’ und Schneid
Liab’ und Schneid is the Mid-Atlantic’s premier duo for authentic German Alpine Music (echte Volksmusik), the traditional entertainment and dance music of the mountains of Austria, Switzerland, Bavaria, and South Tyrol. Our mission is to bring you the most authentic Alpine music you’ll hear on this side of the Atlantic, with the most diverse range of instruments (as well as vocals), in the most fun way possible.

The key to Liab’ und Schneid’s success: bringing you the energy of the music Alpine “locals” listen and dance to, spiced up with some Oberkrainer classics and timeless hits in the German Volksmusik tradition.
