Many of these German settlers from the East Coast to the Midwest used brick masonry in the construction of their buildings as the material is known for its beauty and durability.

As we celebrate the semiquincentennial, GAHF is once again offering you the opportunity to create a lasting memory in front of the German-American Heritage Museum in the nation’s capital with a personalized, engraved brick. For just $250, you will get your personalized brick and a copy of our richly illustrated coffee table book How German Ingenuity Inspired America which highlights how German immigrants and their descendants shaped American culture. Your special paver will be incorporated into the brick path in front of our building. Bricks are a perfect way to honor a special person, to commemorate an important event, or to simply show your connection to the German American community during this anniversary year.

Please note that all bricks feature a standard size (4″ x 8″) that provides up to 4 lines at 21 characters per line of engraved text. Punctuation and spaces are included in the character count. Click on the link below to place your order. The processing time is between six and eight weeks.
