Alpine Singers – Spring Concert

The ever-popular Alpine Singers, one of Washington, DC’s premier a cappella groups, will be back at the German-American Heritage Museum on Thursday, April 16 from 7 – 9pm. Founded in 1996 by the late Herbert Traxler and his wife Carol Traxler, they perform a broad repertoire of Austrian and German music ranging from Volksmusik to Jodler, and from Baroque music to the works of living composers.

The program includes a wonderful mix of Austrian and Bavarian folk songs and some dances. If you are so inclined, you can even dance along with us! Immerse yourself in the culture of the German-speaking Alpine region, and celebrate spring with us. You will also have a chance to eat traditional open-faced sandwiches (Abendbrot – belegte Brötchen).
