German-American Day Zoom Celebration

German-American Day

This year, we invite you to celebrate with us from the comfort of your home or office. Join us via Zoom for a program that highlights the rich history of German-Americans. In addition to live readings of four official proclamations honoring this holiday, we will also have guest contributions from Germany's Ambassador to the United States, Emily Haber, and the former governor of California, Jerry Brown, our 2020 Distinguished German-American of the Year. Musical entertainment will be provided by Grammy-nominated musician and producer Alex Meixner and The American Virtuosi, who will pay tribute to Ludwig van Beethoven during his 250th anniversary year.

As part of the program, we want to present a video montage showcasing the many different faces and voices representing the German-American community.
