For many centuries Germany has long been recognized as one of the world’s great toy producers, and the German-American Heritage Museum is honoring this cultural legacy with a special exhibit beginning this upcoming holiday season: from December 1, 2018 until March 28th , 2019 the GAHM will be displaying German toys from the 19th , 20th , and 21st centuries. Featuring artifacts such as German-manufactured porcelain dolls, original Heyde toy soldiers, Steiff teddy bears, and more, this exhibit explores the impressive history of German toy-making and showcases toys of all varieties, to suit every visitor! A special play area allows visitors to experience German games and toys hands-on.

Admission: $20 / families (max. 2 adults, max. 3 children); $10 / adults; $7 / members, seniors, & students (with ID); $5 / children aged 4 and up

Museum Hours:

Tuesday – Friday from 11 am – 5 pm
Select Saturdays from 11 am – 4 pm

Saturdays in December: December 1, December 8, December 15

Saturdays in January: January 12, January 26

Saturdays in February: February 9, February 23

Saturdays in March: March 9, March 23 (final weekend date before exhibit closes!)
