Get Tickets NowOur tasting selection consists of the following choices:
White Wines:
- Guldentaler Schlosskapelle Kabinett (Germany) – it impresses with a rich yellow color, and a variety of fruity aromas such as apple, pear, peach, and apricot. Because of its light acidity, it’s a perfect wine for slightly spicy dishes and Gouda or Edam cheeses.
- Grüner Veltliner (Austria) – one of Austria’s most famous wines with hints of lemon and lime, as well as notes of grapefruit and apricot. The most notable characteristic is its high, crisp acidity, which makes for a great pairing with rich foods and soft cheeses such as brie and camembert.
- Solaris Beerenauslese (Germany) – a wine made from hand-picked grapes from a very recent creation of blending Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Muskat Ottonel to produce a grape that can grow in colder climates. It features a striking golden color and aromas of honey, apricot and tropical fruit. It’s a dessert wine, and goes well with various cakes and fruit tarts.
Red Wines:
- Fürst Tibor Blaufränkisch (Hungary) – Blaufränkisch is Austria’s and Central Europe’s most common red grape, and made its first appearance in Austria in the mid 1700s and in Germany in the early 1800s. Imagine yourself floating along the Danube River (cue the music!), and this is the wine you’d want to sip. With its aroma of blueberries and sour cherries, it creates a velvety soft, light fruitiness on the palate. It’s perfect for after dinner, and goes well with Gorgonzola or Ricotta cheeses.
- Pierre Laforest Cuvee St. Vincent (France) – although this is a French red wine, it resemble the German red wines with its ruby color and aroma of ripe black cherries. It’s a mild red wine that goes well with light stews, fresh mushrooms, pasta dishes, and pizza. Suggested cheese pairing are Gruyere and Fontina.
