Sissi - The Young Empress begins where the first film ended. Married to Franz Joseph I, Sissi is getting used to the lavish lifestyle and strict protocol of the Austrian royalty. Sissi’s lack of understanding of royal etiquette makes her a target for Franz Joseph’s mother, Archduchess Sophie. With Franz Joseph away governing the empire, Sissi is left at the mercy of her mother-in-law. Conflict arises when Sissi has her first child and she and the archduchess disagree over who should raise the child. Will Sissi be able to keep her baby? And when will she be reunited with Franz Joseph?
