I am a seasoned government relations and public policy professional and former US Army officer who currently holds an executive vice president position at Voyager Space, which allows me to regularly interact with Congress, the White House, and many other federal agencies. My German immigrant grandfather instilled a love for German culture and customs in me, and I plan to use my extensive network to further GAHF’s work by building new and vital connections.
I am the Executive Vice President for Government Affairs and Public Policy for Voyager Space. I lead Voyager’s Washington D.C. office and am responsible for representing the interests of Voyager to key government institutions including Congress, the White House and the many federal agencies that impact the success of Voyager and its subsidiaries.
Prior to joining Voyager, I was the President of the Commercial Spaceflight Federation. CSF is the most
recognized and largest trade organization dedicated to promoting policies and best practices that fosters the development of the commercial spaceflight industry. I served on both the Defense Innovation Board, Space Advisory Committee, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Commercial Space Transportation Advisory Committee (COMSTAC). I was appointed to the National Space Council Users’ Advisory Group (UAG) where I sit on the Executive Committee, and serve as the Co-Chair of the Economic Development and Industrial Base Subcommittee.
I have had positions on numerous industry-affiliated boards including the Future Space Leaders Foundation and am the former Chairman of the Washington Space Business Roundtable. My professional comments have been featured in The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, SpaceNews, and many more.
For three decades, I also served as an officer in the United States Army and Army Reserves. My final assignment as a reservist was in the Pentagon in the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff Army.
