Personal & Mission Statement
Having served on the Board of Directors at the DANK Haus Chicago for the last five years and as the President of the Board for the last four years, Marco Heuer is very excited to share his experience and contacts with the GAHF and help advance its mission & vision. Professionally, he has been a technologist all his life, an Electrical Engineering / Computer Sciences Engineer by trade. As his skills have expanded, he kept true to his passion of solving problems and helping his customers. While Marco started out as an engineer, his most recent roles center around mentoring and growing his team members and leading global teams of engineers and consultants for companies like The Washington Post, SAP, and Microsoft.
He is a German American who together with his wife raises their three children bilingually as global citizens. This has made him appreciate our shared heritage along with the pros and cons of each culture.
Keeping the ever evolving culture and language alive and vibrant in our lives is a never ending story, but one that can be shared and drawn upon to hopefully inspire a wider community. He is looking forward to helping expand the reach of the GAHF nationally and here in the Midwest, including collaboration with the DANK Haus.
