As a child and young adult, Guntwin accompanied his father Hartmut Galleisky on his visits to many Southern California German-American clubs, and observed his father build a support base for the creation of the German-American Heritage Museum in Washington, DC. A pharmacist by profession, Guntwin came to the United States at age four, but has kept in contact with his family in Germany, leading him to feel at home in both cultures.
Guntwin has been living the American dream, and has been newly elected as second vice president and regional representative for Southern California. He is a firm believer in and supporter of GAHF, and would like to become a leader and role model for other German-Americans.
