- Mr. Erich Ast of Pennsylvania who is a long-time supporter, member of the Board of Directors including serving as treasurer for almost a decade, and generous benefactor;
- Mr. Frederick H. W. Hansen of New York who has been with GAHF since its inception in 1977 and has filled many different board positions including his role as long-standing secretary;
- Mr. Helmut Krüger of New Jersey was one of the original co-founders of GAHF, who promoted the organization all the way to the Reagan White House, and served as president and vice-president in the early days; and
- Lastly, Mr. Hank Stoffel of California, our 2nd vice president and decades-long regional representative in Northern California whose tireless commitment helped establish GAHF and its museum among the German-American community.
In the recent past, we have typically celebrated our gala at one of the many wonderful venues in Washington, DC, but this year we will gather at the beautiful historic German Society of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. As the first capital of the newly minted country, and the home of the oldest German society, founded in 1764, the city is a fitting location to honor the many achievements of German-Americans, who are still the single largest ethnic group in the United States.
Please joins us along with the members and friends of GAHF to celebrate our heritage and our future. It would be a pleasure to welcome you at this elegant gala with dinner and dancing in the Barthelmes Ballroom in Philadelphia. Tickets start at just $250 for nonmembers and $200 for members; attractive sponsorship options are also available.
