Alongside our German food exhibit “Culinary Customs: A Taste of Germany” we are showing Mostly Martha, a romantic-comedy centered all around cooking. The movie follows Martha, head chef at an upscale restaurant and a headstrong single woman who is both accustomed to living on her own and very set in her ways. Enter Lina, Martha’s niece who comes to live with her after her sister suffers a tragic accident, and Mario, the new Italian chef at Martha’s restaurant. Turning her world completely upside down, these two show Martha that sometimes life can be messy – and that’s okay. Sure to delight food and comedy lovers alike, this internationally-awarded film is fun for the whole family!
