Walking Tour with the German-American Heritage Society of Greater Washington, DC ~ Sun, 5/7
The German-American Heritage Foundation of the USA® and the German-American Heritage Society of Greater Washington, DC have partnered to bring you a glimpse of Washington’s German-American history. Join GAHS President Steve Hollands on a walking tour of German-American sites in Washington, DC on Sunday, May 7th, 2017. This tour will take attendees through the historical Seventh Street corridor. Some of the highlights include the former Hecht Company and Rathskeller and many historic storefronts.
Tickets are free and the tour begins at 1 PM. Attendees please meet at Archives Metro. After the tour there will be an optional stop at Fuel Restaurant at 6th and F Street for food and beverages. GAHF member club the German-American Heritage Society of Greater Washington, DC is dedicated to the multitude of contributions made by German-Americans in the Washington, DC area.
