On May 7th GAHF held its second Frueschoppen of the year.
Members, friends and family enjoyed this Bavarian and Austrian tradition. Still observed in many rural regions, the Fruehschoppen is an informal, late-morning gathering over brunch. Visitors enjoyed food graciously provided by Old Europe Restaurant, drinks and stimulating conversation. For this Fruehschoppen, we had the presentation by Dr. Stefan Buchwald Counselor at the German Embassy in Washington, D.C. and Director of the German Information Center USA. The topic of his presentation was the recent study funded by the GIC regarding the way Americans view Germany.
