Announces Board Member and Executive Committee for 2016-2017

Washington, DC, The German-American Heritage Foundation of the USA® (GAHF), an organization dedicated to promoting German-American heritage and the impact of German-Americans in the United States, announced its new Board of Directors and new Executive Committee for the period of November 2016 to November 2017. The members of the Board were elected at the Annual Meeting celebrated at the Cannstatter Volksfest Verein in Philadelphia, PA last November 5th.

The new President of the GAHF is Mr. J. Marc Wheat, Esq, joined by his new Executive Committee: Ron Kosmahl, 1st VP; Aaron Lewis, 2nd VP; Hardy von Auenmüller, VP of Finance; Rolf Hoffmann, VP of External Affairs; Megan Lott, VP of Development; Wendy Wurlitzer, Treasurer; and Lucas Pipes, Secretary. Continuing in their roles as Regional VPs are Hank Stoffel and Robert L. Fricke.

Mr. Wheat is serving his second term as President, having served previously from 2012 to 2013. He is an attorney in Washington, DC. , having served as Staff Director and Chief Counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Criminal Justice, the U.S. Department of State among other posts. New to the Board of Directors this year are: Rolf Hoffmann, Megan Lott, Joachim Reppmann, John Caroll, Lucas Pipes and Jim Sack. Reelected to the Board for a term of 3 years are Erich Ast, Michelle Brooks, Frederick H.W. Hansen, Hardy von Auenmüller; for a period of 2 years: Guntwin Galesky, Ron Kosmahl and Erik Hotmire.   Distinguished members of the Board that continue to serve are: J. Marc Wheat, President; John M. Manoyan, past President; Bern Deichmann, President Emeritus; Hank Stoffel; Peter Knapp; Robert L. Fricke; Stephen Staudigl; Aaron Lewis; and Wendy Wurlitzer.
